Experiment
· We made magnetic cars by sticking small circular magnets to our toy cars.
· We got them to move using the repelling force between the poles of two magnets.
· We then used three different magnets all different sizes to pull the cars along.
· We raced out cars along our very own race track
· We wanted to see which magnet worked best!
· We had great fun at the science exhibition showing the other classes how to race the cars! We used the strongest magnets.
How long is our race track? We measured with cubes. Can you guess how long?
Results:
· The bar magnet was the strongest
· Our race track measured 11 cubes
· Our pencils measured 9 cubes
· The distance the cars travelled over the race track was longer then the length of our pencils.

2) Static Electricity
Experiment
· We wanted to see which material was the best static
· We used different material (wool, nylon, cotton, tissue, etc)
· We made it a fair test (using same balloon, same number of rubs, different material, how many pieces of tissue or Rice Krispies did each material
pick up?).
We recorded our results on a bar chart.
