We held the periscope sideways and had fun looking around
corners, we also had fun looking at each other from inside/outside the
classroom and from under and over the tables. It was good fun after all the
hard work. It was hard work making sure all our measurements were right.
We found that because of the two parallel mirrors that are
facing each other that are used in making the periscope the light bounces
between the mirrors
We found that periscopes were used in World War 1 by the
soldiers in the trenches so they could see their enemies without being seen
themselves. Some people use periscopes at matches, concerts and parades so that
they can get a better view of what is happening, periscopes are also used in
submarines and can be up to 12 metres long.( H. 6th class )
